This release brings new initialization methods to wGT3X-BT and wActiSleep-BT devices; Proximity Tagging and Group Initialization (also available to CLE devices). These new initialization methods aid in different activity measurements based on proximity or a group of people or limbs. This release also contains many stability and UI improvements and improves our ability to aid customers with problems.
New | Proximity initialization allows studies to be performed using activity correlation to locations a subject might be near. This initialization option allows setting up beacon and receiver devices using Bluetooth devices; wGT3X-BT or wActiSleep-BT devices (starting with MOS).

- Encode firmware version in USB descriptor for improved troubleshooting.

Device Firmware
ActiLife 6.5.3 introduces firmware for NEO devices (GT3X+, ActiSleep+), version 3.01:
- Fixed a bug that could cause USB communication failures.
- Changed battery warning threshold to extend the amount of time a user has to charge a device after seeing the LED indication (~36 hrs. @ 30 Hz or ~14 hrs. @ 80 Hz).
- Only firmware with the same or higher major version number (i.e. 3.x.x) may be programmed on a device.
- Implement 60 second epoch data collection on the device. This feature allows for up to 90 days of recording if raw data collection is disabled. Epoch records contain the following data:
* X, Y and Z axis counts
* Gravity projected counts using all three axes
* Lux
* Steps
* Heart Rate (wGT3X+ and wActiSleep+ only)
* Down vector (i.e. normalized gravity vector for inclination information)
- Significant battery life improvement of 10-15%.

ActiLife 6.5 introduces new Firmware to devices with serial numbers that start with NEO (GT3X+ and ActiSleep+). This Firmware significantly improves the battery life of these devices (10-15%) and drastically improved communication reliability on par with our newest devices. This new firmware unifies our firmware across our wGT3X+ and wActiSleep+ devices.
This Firmware is NOT backwards compatible with ActiLife versions 6.2 and older! ActiLife 5 and pre 6.2 installations will not be automatically upgraded, but mixed environments might run into issues where an ActiLife 6 installation upgrades these devices. Please keep this in mind.
